Vote for BOTH Suzanne D'Amico AND George Andriopoulos

Thank you, Dalers

Farmingdale has entrusted us both with a 3-year term as Board of Education trustees and we couldn’t be prouder. Additionally, the budget vote passed with a near super majority and the Youth Council budget vote passed as well. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are humbled by your support and we will work harder than ever to maintain that support.

No games. No politics. Friends and neighbors working together.

Three-term incumbent and sitting BOE vice-president Suzanne D’Amico is teaming up with community leader and FHS Wall of Famer George Andriopoulos to make sure that every voice in Farmingdale is heard.

Let’s do this, Farmingdale.

Forward, together.

Budgetary Concerns

We are aware of the community's concern with annual rising budget costs and we are listening. We are also fiscally responsible candidates that understand the full make-up of the budget and we plan to educate our constituents on cost saving measures while continuing the fight for our budget in the right places.

Public Education

We believe in the public school education system and the premise that the community alongside local, state, and federal governments should work together to provide a fair and equitable education to all. The primary purpose of public education is to provide a free, equal, and accessible education for all children, and no-one does that better than Farmingdale.

School Safety

Ensuring the safety and security of our schools is a top priority for us. We are committed to creating a safe learning environment by making sure the district works closely with local law enforcement, fostering open communication, and continuing to implement modern safety measures. Our students and staff deserve the peace of mind to thrive and succeed every day.

Curriculum & Academics

We are dedicated to fostering academic excellence by enhancing our curriculum, supporting diverse learning needs, and preparing students for future success. Through innovative and inclusive educational strategies, our goal is to ensure every student reaches their full potential and is equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive in an evolving world.

Aging Infrastructure

We are committed to advancing our district’s efforts to replace and modernize aging infrastructure with safe, sustainable, and cost-efficient solutions. By prioritizing modern spaces that support student learning and foster community engagement, we can create an environment that prepares our students for success while being mindful of our responsibility to taxpayers.

Inclusion

Every student deserves to feel valued and supported. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive teaching environment that embraces the evolving needs of students with differences. By promoting equity and understanding, we can create a space where every child has the opportunity to thrive, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Did you know that Suzanne and George have served a combined 19 years on FSD's Legislative Action Committee?

DALER FUN FACT

The Legislative Action Committee was established to assist the Board of Education in implementing solutions regarding legislative matters, the Committee focuses on assessing the impact of current and proposed State and Federal education legislation, promoting legislation that supports the District’s mission, and communicating vital information to the community. The Legislative Action Committee comprises the Assistant to the Superintendent for Administration, Board of Education members, Farmingdale residents, Farmingdale High School students, Farmingdale staff, and members from the collective bargaining units. As members of the committee, Suzanne and George meet with local and state officials several times yearly to discuss their current Legislative Proposals. The culmination of the committee work is an annual trip to Albany where the LAC tours the state capital and has meaningful conversations with elected officials in the place where most of the fight against budget issues happens including unfunded mandates, the foundation aid formula, and unpredictable funding.
